Phil Nicolo is the Man

So this is round two of mixing here on April 20th in Studio 4. “Last Act of the Night” was the first track that we worked up and it is sound absolutely delicious if I may say so myself. When Nick and I first got here, the song was all but done, but there was still some additional tweaking to take place. Here in these final stages and it is like watching your baby’s grow up into respectable citizens if you follow me at all. The final thing to be done is to get it mastered by Mr. Phil Nicholo himself. After that, it is time to rock out with some shows and keep our fingers crossed while we try to make it big folks. read more »

Back in the Studio

Hey there everyone, today Nick and I are in Studio 4 for a mixing session of our newest recording. At the present moment I am sitting on the couch listening to Freshman 15 and I must say the process is all Greek to me, but interesting nonetheless. For those of you who are familiar with the original Freshman 15, this version is a little different than what you may already know. The rhythm in the verse is a lot different and gives the song a bit of a Sum 41 vibe. I think that this song is getting close to where it needs to be and we have been working on it for almost 3 ½ hours now. read more »

A little about Dave…

What’s up Lucky Friday fans,

This is Dave Cesare (the bass player) for Lucky Friday. I just wanted to thank our fans for all of their support.

Over the last few months we have been hard at work putting together a record so we can take our music to the next level. With the recent addition of our drummer Brandon, and our producer Phil Nicolo, we have created a record that we are all excited about. As you listen to the tracks you will notice a lot of influences and genres throughout all of the songs.

Lately, I have been attempting to fine tune my sound as a bass player by adjusting my tone and gear. I don’t think I listed the gear that I use on any part of the website until now in case any bass players are interested. read more »

Thanks for Tuning In…

Hey there everyone, this is Pat Hart again! First and foremost I would like to thank all of you that tuned in to “lucky Friday tv” on Monday night. It was our first attempt and somewhat of a trial run, so don’t worry there will be more interesting things that we will broadcast in the coming weeks. What we were thinking was to put on an acoustic concert for all of you to tune into in the coming weeks, maybe a few rehearsals, and possibly a segment of our upcoming shows. If there is anything that you would like to see us do in order to make this more interesting and interactive you can email me a pattikace2@yahoo.com or you can leave a message on our myspace or facebook. The long and short of it, is that this is designed for you the fans. read more »
